The Grand Casino Resort occupies a singular position in the contemporary integrated resort landscape: a self-contained hospitality universe spread across five interconnected towers on the prime central section of the Strip, delivered following a landmark $3.8 billion development programme and covering 6.2 million square feet in total.

With 4,748 rooms and suites, 22 dining concepts, a 200,000 sq ft gaming floor, and a 5,200-seat live arena, The Grand operates at the outermost boundary of what the integrated resort format can achieve. Our editorial team spent four full days and three nights on-property to produce this review.

The primary gaming floor occupies a continuous 200,000 sq ft on the resort's ground level — one of Nevada's largest. Three main avenues radiate from a central rotunda beneath a 130-foot atrium, employing the boulevard model pioneered by Wynn rather than the disorientating maze of older Strip properties. Wayfinding is effortless; discovery is nonetheless constant.

The lighting design — developed with a theatrical lighting consultant — maintains warm amber tones at eye level throughout the floor's operating hours. Sound is engineered by zone: energetic but never oppressive on the main floor, near-silent in the high-limit areas, and acoustically intimate in the poker room.

Positioned behind floor-to-ceiling smoked glass overlooking the main floor, The Grand's World Poker Room houses 68 tables across two levels. The public lower level runs cash games from $1/$3 NL through $25/$50; the upper level operates as an invitation-only private room with a dedicated dealer team and separate management staff.

Sound-absorbent panels and a proprietary white-noise underlay ensure complete conversation privacy between tables — an environment closer to a London private members' club than a typical casino poker room. Each table has its own pendant lamp producing a focused circle of light; the surrounding space is kept deliberately dark. The effect is total concentration.

OBSIDIAN — The Grand's flagship superclub spans 38,000 sq ft beneath a kinetic ceiling rig of 14,000 individually programmable LED tiles, above a Meyer Sound system that the venue's acoustic director describes as among the most precisely calibrated rooms in North America. Residencies are booked 18 months in advance; the list of acts constitutes the upper bracket of global electronic music.

The Mezzanine sits elevated above the casino floor — a seated, intimate lounge with 3,600 rare spirit labels managed by a dedicated sommelier team, and live jazz trios performing Thursday through Sunday from 10pm. The aesthetic references a London private members' club; the service quality matches that ambition.

Rooftop Indigo on Tower Three's 62nd floor offers a 360° panoramic terrace limited to 240 guests, accessible by reserved express elevator. The Grand Arena below holds 5,200 and programmes 90+ live events annually — championship boxing, international pop residencies, and marquee comedy galas.

Twenty-two dining concepts operate across the property — anchored by three Michelin-starred flagships totalling four stars combined. Sable, a 44-seat tasting room helmed by a French executive chef, has held two stars since its 2021 opening. Adjacent: a 16-seat Japanese omakase counter (six-week advance bookings), a wood-fire Southern Italian trattoria seating 180, and a 24-hour dim sum hall serving 3am dumplings to the post-midnight casino floor crowd.

The remaining 16 concepts span a daytime all-day brasserie, a 42-seat steakhouse ageing its own prime beef, and a deliberately casual 8-vendor food hall on Level 2 — a democratic offering that makes The Grand as comfortable for a spontaneous lunch as it is for a nine-course tasting menu.

The Grand was designed by a team led by an architectural firm responsible for three of the most significant IRs built in the past two decades. The five towers share a continuous structural podium but are deliberately varied in height and facade treatment — creating a skyline composition legible from every angle of the Strip while avoiding the visual monotony of identical repetition.

The central atrium — 130 feet high, naturally lit through a retractable glass ceiling during daylight hours — functions as both wayfinding landmark and biophilic space. A rotating botanical installation across four levels changes quarterly under the direction of a permanent in-house horticultural team, ensuring that no visit to the property produces an identical visual experience.
